New form of Art : Cat Painting
Some of these cat paintings have cost $15,000 and had to be renewed every 3 months! Some cat owners are really crazy about their cats! I’m not sure these poor cats really enjoyed the long hours of painting on their fur. The results are pretty amazing! Some cat painting are very simple with a unique color, others are very complex and required a true artist, like painting on a canvas. These cats are ready for Halloween!

Paint Your Cat and Painting on cats

These painted cats look so colorful and amazing! They remind me of some of the behind the scenes footage I saw recently of the “Believe” Live stage production by Criss Angel And Cirque Du Soleil. I am currently working for Cirque and an associate of mine here got to see the show. She had nothing but positive things to say about it, and I can’t wait to see it for myself (hopefully). If you would like to see the footage for yourself, check it out: youtube.com/cirquelasvegas

Thanks for posting this-and the wonderful pictures.Cats are beautiful all on their own-yes! Alot of people may babble that this is animal cruelty. I however do not see it like that, and I am a HUGE animal rights girl. This is not harmful to them at all,it does not seep into their skin,or harm thier fur any. It comes off over time on its own. If the cat bathes himself he will NOT be harmed by the paint. Its more a dye, than a paint.I dye my dogs all the time,so whats the difference between people who dye their pooches(wich you have seen many times I am sure) to now dying their cat? NONE:)
anyhoo~Thanks alot, great pics of them all!

You may be a “HUGE animal rights girl”, but you’re also “HUGE”ly in need of a spell checker and book on basic Biology. Yes, it DOES seep into their skin-every time the cat and dog lick at the stuff. It’s called osmosis.

What is the matter with these people? You can buy a “plush” pet and colour it anyway you want, but a living, breathing, being? For goodness sake, get out of the house – get some friends! Leave the poor animals alone. If you really want to express yourself, get a tattoo. It’s your choice to do whatever you want to yourself, leave the poor cat be! I sincerely doubt that you could do this to any cat without drugging it into submission. What kind of fool would do this to a cat?

well thomas mallory YOU need a science lesson, that is not at all what osmosis is, you fail
Osmosis:
a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one, thus equalizing the concentrations on each side of the membrane.
you are talking about absorbing
absorbing:
take in or soak up (energy, or a liquid or other substance) by chemical or physical action, typically gradually
and they probably used animal safe paint, because you know it does exist, like face paint

These look photoshopped- particularly the tartan cat. It’s cute though!

looks cool.. sort of.. .but weird…i’m not 100% if i buy that this isn’t simply photoshopped, after the fact… but if it isn’t i feel sad for the cats… a few of them dont look very impressed.. if you want a colourful cat, get a calico

These are definately photoshopped. The lines are all to crisp and straight and the colors are too true… Were these really cats that had been “painted” or “dyed”, the lines woudld be jagged at best and the colors would be uneven. Unless you put the cat to sleep while you did the work, you are going to have one wiggly cat on your hands. And, even then the color would still not be super vibrant – especially on the darker colored cats. Dye yes, but bleaching out the black part of the cat for the Moon… Pleeze…
Photoshopped or not, these are some cool looks on the cats… Wish i coudl have the moon and stars on my cats… LOVELOVE LOVE that look!!

Somehow, I think Photoshop was not involved in these cat painting crazy images! I work with PS pretty well and I could never get these kind of results. The say the truth, I’d probably mess it up even more with real paint so either way, the people who did that are true artists!

This is a hoax.

Not as inhumane as lots of other stuff I don’t care to mention, but why subject a cat to that for hours if they don’t like it, don’t benefit from it in any way (it’s for their owner’s pleasure), and it costs so much money? I say, if you love cats and have $15,000, why not donate it to a shelter or a rescue group or an animal hospital – you can specify that you want it to go toward cats only, if you so choose.
