About my Trip to the Hofbräuhaus Beer Garden ::
So much beer! I drank 1.5 liters that night and Sean Whitzel drank 2.5 liters! That crazy American! Samy, Sean and I with Australian and American friends from the Hostel at the Beer Garden : Hofbräuhaus brewery in Munich, Germany. Did you notice that old guy sitting in the back? He was sitting alone so we joined him! Cool guy!
About the Hofbrauhaus from Wikipedia ::
The Staatliches Hofbräuhaus in München (literally state court-brewery in Munich, also Hofbräu München) is a brewery in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, owned by the state government. The Hof (court) comes from the brewery’s history as a royal brewery in the Kingdom of Bavaria.
The brewery operates the Hofbräuhaus am Platzl, the Hofbräukeller, and the second largest tent at the Oktoberfest (Hofbräu-Festzelt). Its own brew, of course, is the only beer served.
The Hofbräuhaus in Munich inspired a world wide famous song, and the phrase “oans, zwoa, g’suffa” (bavarian dialect for: “one, two, chug”).

I love the Hofbrauhaus Munchen! Their tent at Oktoberfest is also a lot of fun. I just found out that they have restaurants in the U.S. the closest to me is either Milwaukee or Chicago, but I believe there are now 7-8 across the country. While it isn’t the same as HB in Munich, it bring back memories. I also picked up some 1 liter HB dimpled steins like the ones at Oktoberfest to add to my collection. You can also find them online here – http://www.oktoberfesthaus.com/category/z_shop_by_german_brewery.hofbrauhaus
PROST!
