What I’ve seen so far of English to Portuguese translated sites has really really bizarre translations (Monty Python style). I don’t know how about english-french translations, but to Portuguese, results are bizarre. Whenever I “crash” to a site which uses such automated translations I hurry to switch back to english, in order to understand something…

Polyglot is capable to detect the language of your explorer and qtranslate not. But qtranslate is very easy to install.
