Barack Obama elected U.S. president
Democrat Barack Obama has won the U.S. presidential election at the expense of Republican John McCain, becoming the first black president in the history of the United States.
Obama, 47 years, will be invested the 44th U.S. president on January 20 2009.
By winning California, the senator from Illinois was assured of exceeding the threshold of 270 electors necessary to obtain a majority in the electoral college that will elect the next president of the United States. He also won the popular vote.
Scenes of jubilation welcomed the announcement of victory for Obama across the country, particularly in its stronghold of Chicago, where tens of thousands of people have taken heart the slogan of the candidate mestizo: “Yes, we can”.

Instead of shades of grey with some yellow, the image of Obama as superman should be red white and blue!

It was a great moment when Obama won presidency. One thing that bugs me is he’s half white yet he is called the first black president. He could also be called the 44th white president.
