Read my Google Image tutorial, optimize your website or blog and wait. Your images should get indexed by Google.

hmmm no i dont have any hotlink protection at all and as far as i know not many sites are hotlinking to my images. the streange part is that google indexed about 150 pics on one day and it stoped after that. usually the bot comes back in a few day and resumes the indexing :)

I'm not sure the image sitemap is really useful. You can keep it, it wouldn't penalize you.

Image search engines are a strange bird! They are a lot less logical than regular search engines. I also have tons of images on xarj.net and one out of 5 is indexed.

Do you have a hotlink protection on your images? Has any site stolen any image links from google image? Do a lot of external sites link to your images?

Hi!
yeah google finds about 150 pictures, the thing is that i have more than 4000 images so the 150 is waaay to few :)

my posts sitemap is: http://dailymobile.se/sitemap.xml
and the "image" siteman is: http://dailymobile.se/sitemap-image.xml and its pointing to: http://dailymobile.se/wp-content/uploads/2008/
i have added both sitemaps to the google webmaster site

about the image file name "havefunx3" is beeing taken care of its just the first 2 images on the post that may have the wrong title and without alt tags, but the thumbnails has correct alt and title tags.

i already have a good google index and the google bot finds the most of my post, i just have the problem with the google image bot :)

When I search for site:dailymobile.se I see you have 138 pics indexed by google. It's an ok number... Check if the descriptions are correct, if not, I would recommend helping google indexing the correct words with your images by adding a short description above your pics. That might be complicated and time consuming and it's not certain it will really make a difference...

You already have 5000 visitors daily! That is proof your site is good and well optimized! Alexa rank of 48,000 ! Very good!

You can have as many sitemaps as you want, you wont be penalized by google as long as they both show different information. I didn't see any other than the general sitemap and i'm not too familiar with a sitemap dedicated to images. Where is it located?

For the image titles and tags, your plugin seems to work pretty good. A few images have a all attached filename like "havefunnx3" but 80% of your images are perfectly optimized.

Overall, your site doesn't really need improvement! I might recommend sculpting your page rank by adding the rel="nofollow" to any link of smaller importance like advertise, links, about... Google will put higher pagerank on your most important pages...

and then i have another sitemap pointing out my posts, do you think that the image sitemap is necessary or should i delete it? wont the google bot be confused when there are 2 sitemaps on the blog?

@Xarj

Thx for the help m8!

The thing is that i have a SEO plugin (wordpress) that automatically uses the post title as the ALT and TITLE tag on the pics. will that be a problem? since i often post 20 - 60 images / gallery post it will take to much of my time to manually add the alt and title tags to the pictures.

i also did some changes but adding the name of the phone above and under the thumbnails so that the google bot gets a hint of what its indexing (i really dont know if that will help , but it doesnt hurt to try)

"Optimize those title tags without dashes"
Do you mean that i sholdnt name the images to "samsung-f480-touchwiz-01.jpg" when the post title is: Samsung F480 Touchwiz Unboxing Pictures

?

once again, thx for the help :)
