The Egyptian Museum of Cairo is located in the center of Cairo, Tahrir square and is one of the largest museums in the world which is entirely devoted to ancient Egypt. More than 160,000 objects are exhibited, including the famous treasures of Tutankhamen.
The Egyptian government have created the Egyptian Antiquities Service in 1835 to put an end to the looting of archaeological sites and display the works that belonged to the state. The gardens of the EzbĂ©kyia, Cairo were used to store all these objects. The collection will then be transferred to a building of the Citadel. wow…. did you take the pictures by yourself? how could? i live in egypt, but i think it’s forbidden to take pictures inside the museum.
