When i lived in the Basque Country in France, I met Philippe Boudal at Quiksilver, we were both in our internships. During one of our numerous music sessions, I showed Phil this song I had recorded and he loved it! So he recorded his own vocal part, I had already recorded a version of the music with my own voice. In the Basque country there is one thing I really enjoyed watching, big waves in the Atlantic Ocean! I love to film surfers on big waves and also virgin waves. So one afternoon I went to the beach in Anglet and filmed the waves during a big winter swell. This is exclusively what is seen on the video attached to this post. Nice, simple music video. Just a Man Remix Music MP3 - Just a Man - I'm Sorry - Remix by XARJ A few years ago a music band called "Just a Man" got a little famous with their song "I'm Sorry". I've never heard of them since but I did really enjoy that song so I cut out some loops and used the samples into my new remix. I love to create music based on an excellent existing song! My Remix of Just a Man I'm Sorry is one of the rare songs I created where I sing and to which I actually like my singing! And the amazing thing is that my singing is 100% improvisation! I did not write any lyrics to it, I did not practice singing it. I just looped some area of the song in my Acid Pro project and recorded my improvised voice for 5 minutes. I think I got it right the first time so the entire vocals for this song took me less than 15 minutes! Amazing! Real proud of myself! For some strange reason, when I improvize singing lyrics, I have an easier time improvizing about the topic of love. The words just come more easily when singing about love! I added many tracks in my Acid Pro project, numerous instruments and a couple special effects on my voice and voila! A great song made in less than 6 hours. Beautiful! I accelerated the song a little bit so my singing sounds more high pitched. Yes, I sing in french and the vocals would need some improvements but I didn't have a real singer back then so I had to sing myself! He had heard my Prodigy Smack my Bitch Up Remix and thought with a little work, we could transform my remix into a successful night club music! He's a DJ so he can test songs on the population and see if people like it or not. So that got me excited! While drinking my warm coffee and smoking my first cigarette of the day, my random winamp started playing a beautiful relaxing song by Boom Bip called "Dumb Day". I was in a musical mood so I thought, What the Hell, the first part of the song could make a great loop to build a song onto! And that's what I did. Started by importing the MP3 into Adobe Audition to cut out the perfect loop. Then imported the loop into Acid Pro 6 to test against a metronome set at 120 BPM. Lucky me, it's a perfect match! The beat and the 16 seconds loop I created from Boom Bip are perfectly synchronized. I can now start recording new tracks. I recorded two vocal tracks with my voice which sound very modified but it's vocals! One midi track for the bass, 2 tracks for the piano. A total of 9 active tracks. Voila! I'm very happy with it! Very soothing and relaxing! I would categorize this song as Chill Out Ambient.
